Darren Smith
Darren Smith is a member of the litigation department, specializing in commercial litigation. Darren’s practice includes residential and commercial real estate disputes, certificates of pending litigation, financing and mortgage enforcement matters, Letters of Credit and negotiable instruments, fraud and negligence actions, bankruptcy and insolvency as well as partnership and shareholder disputes. Darren is regularly involved in complex litigation matters and frequently appears in bankruptcy, civil and commercial courts. Darren was also junior counsel, with standing, at the Air India Inquiry representing two of the parties. Darren graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in 2004. He is a member of several professional and business organizations and committees, and has developed a working network with international law firms around the globe through Himelfarb Proszanski LLP’s membership in Consulegis, for providing clients a resource for addressing commercial and corporate issues internationally.
